Print Screen on a Mac
Article on The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) about how to take screen captures on a Mac. Not really specific to web development, but it's still the sort of thing I'm bound to forget and need to look up again.
In short:
- Command+Alt+Shift+3 = copy entire screen to the clipboard.
- Command+Alt+Shift+4 = allows you to drag a rectangle and copy it to the clipboard.
- Command+Alt+Shift+4 then Spacebar = allows you to point to a window and have it copied to the clipboard.
- Command+Shift+3 = save entire screen to a new PDF file on the desktop.
- Command+Shift+4 = allows you to drag a rectangle and capture it to a new PDF file on the desktop.
- Command+Shift+4 then Spacebar = allows you to point to a window and have it saved as a new PDF file on the desktop.
